And that's only some of the feedback! On behalf of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, I want to thank everyone involved in making the October 3 eBusiness Symposium such a success. Once again, the Chamber partnered with the Town of Arlington to provide a premier event. By the end of the day, more than 100 small business owners and entrepreneurs left with practical emarketing techniques to transform their businesses in a challenging economic environment.

The Chamber organized this event with the support of three forward looking banks as its associate sponsors: Brookline Bank, East Cambridge Savings Bank and Watertown Savings Bank, along with the support of supporting sponsors Beaujolais Catering, Citizens Bank, Clearly Creative, Comcast Business Class, The Computer Cafe, Constant Contact and Mirak.com. Every sponsor shares the same commitment to help small business owners grow their businesses.

In addition to our sponsors, many others contributed their time and donated services to the event. The planning committee including Chamber members Chuck French, Dave Gowel, Julie Gowel, Lorraine Kilby, Karina Potere, Craig Rabe and Rebecca Riccio who worked hard to make this event content rich. Chamber Board member Dick Moskow was on hand all day wherever we needed him. During breaks, lunch and at the evening reception, attendees enjoyed food and beverages donated by bagels by US, Beaujolais Catering, Bella Moto Baking, The Chilly Cow, Edible Arrangements, Giles Fine Wine, Lakota Bakery, Not Your Average Joe’s, Scutra and Tryst. The Book Rack provided food for the entrepreneurial mind with its eBiz Book store. Print Aspects made a significant contribution in printing the collateral for the event. Walden WebWorks created and maintained www.ebizsymposium. Reflection Films produced the eBiz YouTube video. Also helping to make sure the day was a success were the Town of Arlington’s Brian Sullivan, Patsy Kraemer, Steve Gilligan. Our staging crew from the Young Adult Vocational Program—Bjorn Krammer, Chad Austin, Jeanne Donnato, Michael Harper, Edwin Tan, Jonathan Washinsky—were an integral part of the day as was freelance photographer Courtney Clarke.

Thanks to everyone involved, the Chamber was able to remain true to its mission: “With integrity and passion, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce fosters a vital and thriving community in which to work and live. Serving as a liaison between businesses and residents, the Chamber provides valuable resources, programs, business tools and services for its members to help them succeed in Arlington.”

And let's hear it from attendees who are not Arlington Chamber members (yet!)

"The eBiz Symposium was truly a worthwhile experience. So often these events are a disappointment. This was not the case in Arlington. The symposium was informative, interesting, and extremely well organized. The catering was an unexpected pleasure. The scheduling provided ample opportunity for networking while my attention was held throughout the day. Thank you."

-Stuart Parsons S M Parsons Architect, Inc.

-Monica Whelan, Abrams Little-Gill Loebenfeld PC

"The speakers were fantastic! The event was extremely well organized. I made many contacts and the food was great too."
-Erica Kleinkopf, Thirty Petals Boutique

We hope to see you at the next eBiz!
