The eBiz Buzz is building!

Great news! Constant Contact has joined us as a sponsor for eBiz-a perfect match since Constant Contact is the engine behind our email newsletter campaign.

Speaking of
eBiz, the premier Boston online marketing event brought to you by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, are you still on the fence wondering:
Remember how the Chamber promised to use Internet marketing techniques to promote eBiz? It's working! The BUZZ is building.

In July, we checked the search engines
for "Boston Internet marketing event" and "Boston online marketing event." eBiz was lower than 70. Last Friday, we had moved up more than 30 spots on the big G. As I write this, we have moved all the way up to #1 and #2 for the first search and the same for the second search! AND we are ranked #7 for online marketing in Boston. Just look at the growing list in the Buzz is building. Here's how:

#1 Brick Marketing (SEO expert/eBiz speaker) advised us on search engine optimizing (SEO) for www.arlcc.org/ebusiness. Walden WebWorks (the Chamber's web designer and table topic host) weighed in with some more valuable SEO advice.

#2 Event speakers like Brick Marketing used blogs to promote the event.

#3 Event speakers and sponsors Marketing Edge Consulting Group, JBS Partners and Clearly Creative added links to eBiz on their home pages.

#4 As of yesterday morning, eBiz now has its own Walden WebWorks-designed event website, maximizing SEO.

#5 Thanks to eBiz committee members (Lorraine Kilby, Dave Gowel, Julie Gowel, Chuck French, Rebecca Riccio, Craig Rabe and support from Phil Kilby), we have been consistent in our language about this event.

#6 This Monday every Chamber member-and more than 150 new home-based businesses-received the 2nd of 3 direct mail postcards (each card includes a link to the event). Combining direct and online can be very effective. A direct result? We welcomed new Chamber member Your Ph.D. Consulting!

#7 We are listed on online marketing event sites, such as the highly regarded Mark's Guide.

#8 Anyone registered to attend eBiz can start building relationships with fellow attendees even before October 3 and continue them long after. Click here to join the LinkedIn eBiz group that Dave Gowel of Clearly Creative has set up. Don't forget eBiz registered attendees can sign up for a free LinkedIn Tutorial with Dave too. Just send him an email!

#9 What's next? You Tube! As the King told Anna "etcetera, etcetera, etcetera." Stay tuned!
